New Era Biz Card

A business card that stops being paper the moment it is handed over.

Networking in Dubai runs on cards. You meet nine people at an event, you collect nine rectangles, and by Thursday you cannot remember which one ran the fintech and which one wanted a rebrand. Yours is in somebody else's pocket having the same problem.

A card should not end at the edge of the card.

So I redesigned mine as an NFC card and wired it to a live page. Someone taps their phone against it and lands on everything at once: WhatsApp, LinkedIn, the portfolio, the work, and a note box that sends straight to me. No app, no typing, no photograph of a card that never gets opened again.

The design started on paper. Actual hand-drawn sketches of what the card and the page should feel like, the way I would brief any designer. Claude Code and Fable 5 read the drawings, understood the layout and the hierarchy, and built the page from them. I directed the taste. The machine did the production.

The page it lands on is not a link tree. It is the same brand system as the rest of this site, which means the first thing a new contact sees is a brand that behaves consistently, thirty seconds after shaking my hand.

How it works

How the card worksA sketch on paper is read by Claude Code and Fable 5, which build the connect page. The card carries only the URL, so a tap opens the page and a note comes straight back to her. What made it work

  1. The sketch came first. Paper, pen, the layout argued out by hand before a single line of code.
  2. Claude Code and Fable 5 read the drawings and built the page in the site's own palette and type.
  3. Every route a new contact might want sits on one screen: message, connect, portfolio, or leave a note.
  4. The card carries only the URL, so the page can change forever and the card never goes out of date.
  5. One tap. No app to install, on either side.
